DIY Installation in 5 Easy Steps

No electrician needed. Install your QDot landscape lighting kit in under 2 hours with basic tools.

Step 1 — Plan Your Layout

Choose a transformer location near a weatherproof outdoor outlet. Walk your yard and decide where each light will go.

Step 2 — Run the Cable

Run low-voltage cable from the transformer along edges, seams, or cut a shallow groove in the lawn. No trenching required.

Step 3 — Connect the Lights

Strip the cable at each light location, attach using the included wire connectors. Each connection takes under a minute. Add more lights anytime — the system is fully expandable.

Step 4 — Wire to the Transformer

Connect cable ends to the transformer terminals. Use the COM terminal and a voltage tap (12V–15V) based on your cable run length.

Step 5 — Power On

Plug in the transformer, set your timer or WiFi schedule, and mount it to the wall. You're done.
